SfincsQuadtreeGrid.read(filename: str | Path = None, read_components: bool = False)[source]#

Reads a quadtree netcdf file and stores it in the QuadtreeGrid object.

Only the layers in the main file are read. Layers owned by a component are read through that component, which pulls this grid in first if it is not loaded yet.

Parameters:

  • file_name (str or Path, optional) – Path to the netcdf file to read, by default “sfincs.nc”.

  • read_components (bool, optional) – Also call read() on the components owning layers here, by default False.
